Hike with views of the ice giants of the Venosta Alps

The excursion to the Palla Bianca hut (2,542 m) starts from the town of Melago in Vallelunga. Take path no. 2. Immediately after the bridge over the stream Melago, take the uphill path no. 3, which has some very steep sections. After the crucifix, continue to the Schafberg hut, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the glaciers of the Venosta Alps. Continue on trail 1A, and at the fork, take trail no. 2 in the direction of the Palla Bianca mountain hut. When you reach Palla Bianca hut, you should taste the excellent Kaiserschmarrn before you return, while enjoying the fantastic views of the mountains. The descent is along trail no. 2 to Melago hut. To return to the village Melago, follow the road of the mountain hut.
